My PhilosophyI use gentle manual massage therapy techniques to achieve motion, break up/realign scar tissue, reset muscle firing imbalances, reset muscle resting lengths, and treat tissue dysfunction. This approach promotes homeostasis (balance) in the soft tissues and the nervous system allowing for treatment of the cause of the pain or strain pattern rather than just the symptom. This is achieved through a multi-disciplinary hands on approach that begins with clinical assessment, creation of a treatment plan, adaptive techniques to address imbalances and follow up suggestions for clients to do at home that enhance the desired treatment outcomes. I use a special massage therapy table that allows for unique client positioning to enhance targeted stretching and fascial lengthening.
